We are no longer accepting applications for this fund. Please check back in the fall semester (2017).

For questions on how to apply and the application process, please contact Jean Foley at (515) 294-4420.

This fund was established by a private donor to support enrichment experiences for students at Iowa State University, including, but not limited to, study abroad, travel to conferences, research projects, etc. A student may request funding up to $1,000 per academic year. This fund is open to undergraduate and graduate students.

Applicants should plan to submit their applications after plans are finalized (for example, after securing an internship or being accepted into a study abroad program) but before participating in the activity. Applications are due by close of business (5:00 p.m.) on the dates indicated. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

  • A student can only receive funding once per academic year.
  • Transfer students may apply in April prior to enrolling at Iowa State, for activities to take place during fall semester.
  • Awards will be processed through the student financial aid system and applied directly to the recipients’ u-bills during the semester in which costs are incurred. For activities taking place during the summer, awards may not be applied until fall, depending on the student’s financial situation. These will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
