Title IX Training

The Division of Student Affairs is supporting the Office of Equal Opportunity’s (OEO) Title IX training initiative to comply with the current federal requirement to educate students on the prevention of rape, acquaintance rape, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Completion of this training is mandatory for all enrolled students. All currently enrolled students who have not completed the training will receive an email that includes details on the requirements and instructions for completing the training.

Iowa State is committed to educating all of our students regarding our discrimination and harassment policies. The online training opportunity has been re-opened for students who have not yet completed the program.

All students on and off campus, full-time, and part-time are required to complete the training. This office, along with the Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost, Office of the Registrar, and the Office of the President, is currently determining what steps will be implemented if this training is not completed within the three-week window.

There are two courses offered through Iowa State’s Office of Equal Opportunity:
• Title IX Awareness, Violence Prevention and Campus Save for Students
• Unlawful Harassment Prevention for Staff (for student workers only)

The training can be accessed here: https://slate.workplaceanswers.com/iowast

All students are required to complete the Title IX, Violence Prevention and Campus Save for Students course. Only student workers are required to complete the additional Unlawful Harassment Prevention for Staff course. Each course is approximately 45 minutes in duration.
