Sexual Assault Awareness Month is an annual campaign to raise awareness about sexual assault prevention. Each April, Iowa State University plans events and outreach to address issues surrounding sexual assault and the need for prevention efforts including bystander intervention. Iowa State University will focus on four themes for Sexual Assault Awareness Month 2022: Support, Prevention, Intersectionality/Inclusion. The Sexual Assault Awareness Month planning committee consists of representatives from Student Wellness, Office of Equal Opportunity, ACCESS, Iowa State University Police Department, Office of Sorority and Fraternity Engagement, Student Assistance, International Students and Scholars Office, The Center for LGBTQIA+ Student Success, Student Accessibility Services, and the Division of Student Affairs.
