Veterans Week

The Iowa State University Veterans Center is promoting and supporting a weeklong series of events to honor the service and sacrifice of our Veterans, military personnel and their families. We encourage everyone, including Veterans, ROTC and the public, to attend. All events can be found here:


November is First Generation College Student Awareness Month November 2 - November 30






Iowa State University will be hosting events during first-generation college student awareness month where first-gen students can build community and network with other students, first-gen faculty and staff. Plus, the events will provide the opportunity to raise awareness of first-gen students’ needs and provide space to discuss best practices that we can implement at Iowa State University.

Events include:

First-Gen Month Kick-Off on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 5:30-7:00 PM in the room 136 in the UDCC.
FREE food and fun activities. RSVP by clicking HERE!

Faculty/Staff and Student Mixer on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 5:30-6:30 pm in the Hixson-Lied Student Success Center, followed by a student panel from 6:30-7:30. To respond complete the First-Generation College Student Awareness Month Online Survey.
